The trailers for the film have been amazing, and seeing the opening credits sequence online made me really want to go see it, but now I'm not so sure. It has been getting so many bad reviews. ebert even calls...
Actually, Ebert gave it a pretty glowing 4-star review. What was "odd" was Ebert's ramblings about quantam physics and Dr. Manhattan on his blog. It's a very polarizing film. If you're a fanboy you'll either love it for how faithful it is or hate it for how different it is from the book. If you've never read the book you'll either love it for how different it is from any other superhero movie you've seen or you'll hate it for how it's hard to follow and seems to require reading the book to "get it"....
Dr. Manhattan was shown naked in the comic to express how he no longer thought in human terms or held human views. The film was just trying to be faithful to that. I actually thought the movie was going to suck, so I was pleasantly surprised by it. There were parts that could have been better, but I would definitely recommend it....
